What to do, what to do ?  :-\

I don't wanna particularly see this site go down the gurgler. What are we NOT thinking of ... here ?

Any input from the new members/ old members ? What is it that attracts you to THAT site .... that you do not find here ?

I haven't looked at the 'rules' here for a while ... and... being 'rule averse'........... try not to look at them ANYWHERE !    :P    ;D                Well, let's face it........... there's rules, and there's rules. Sometimes for the good .......... sometimes, just antiquated. I hate 'sacred cows'  (yes, the rolling eyes gif STILL does not work    :'( ) !  ;D

I'm not entirely sure why these 2 boards ARE separate entities. Part of me thinks........... sponsorship from advertisers...... from that OTHER board............ that help pay the bills.

As 'god' of these boards .......... they can be WHATEVER  ......... YOU  want them to be. Well, that's what I think?

See, I know you ARE a family man, but .........mid 30's......... you're still pretty young ! So, although you may have a certain sense of propriety, .......... family responsibilities, (what would the neighbours think) . .......  (rolling eyes, PER-LEEEZE !  :P  ;D )

Seems to me there's a few 'ladies' like this stuff too ............. from that 'other board' ......... or maybe they're just NOT ladies (rolling eyes). Well, society 'evolves' and the 'standard's' (rolling eyes) of a decade or two back (longer ? ) ...... do not necessarily apply today ?    :-\


You ARE an American .... and I generally love you guys ......... but ............your 'free to air' tv ..... it's generally so SANITIZED  compared to the UK and Australia (don't know about Canada ........ 'Whistle' are you there/here ? )


Can't this board be incorporated as a sub-board of that 'other' site ... where maybe you have to sign in again (?) ....... or .... some kind of link that tells you when people here ARE active ?

Let's float a few ideas............. if you REALLY wanna keep this one alive !

The problem with making this a sub board of the other board is that a lot of filtering software won't really make a distinction between it being a sub-board and not just part of the other board.  It'll just filter out the whole site, which will really impact a lot of people who would otherwise be able to hit it while at work.

There's also the concern of underage users, which is a big deal as well.  It's a lot easier for everyone involved if the underage users are blocked by their filtering software rather than try and pre-approve people for a board if it's not visible to the blocking companies.

As for what purpose the board serves?  Primarily I set it up to function as a place for whatfreaks parody authors to hold contests and hang out.  Unfortunately WF hasn't gotten a lot of new authors, so that really hasn't been a big need to be fulfilled yet.

I don't want a pornography exchange type board, because there are plenty of those on the web already, and it violates the hosting agreement for this server company.  When it was on a separate server, that wasn't as big a deal, but no one was all that interested really.

It seems to me ... people on the OTHER board .... need SOME way of knowing there's somebody on THIS board. Philip Eno ....... for instance ........ stalwart of that board ......... when it's dead THERE ...... is he even gonna think about THIS one? But HE  could keep this one afloat, for example .... if he knew there was somebody  here he could interact with ?    ???

It is nice to see some action on this board.

I'm pretty sure Phil knows this board is here.  I'm pretty sure most of the regulars of the other board are aware it is here.

As for someone being here, well, it's a messageboard not a chatroom.
