I didn't know where to post this but I guess this thread is as good as any. Last night, after I got out of the tub, I was sitting at the kitchen table-just relaxing like I like to do after I get out of the tub. Carlos was in the bedroom watching porn-in fact it was the Paris Hilton DVD (but one of the extra bonuses on the DVD). As I was sitting there, I heard the chirp of a smoke detector that the battery was getting low and made a comment to Carlos about it. I used to be a member of one porn site. The way to do it is get a non-recurring membership (if possible), and d/l everything they have before your time expires.

Problem is, very few places nowadays have memberships that don't automatically renew every month, and cancelling them can sometimes be a pain in the ass.

Not to mention that foreign owned sites are going to raise flags with the Visa Fraud Prevention division. I got a call earlier this week about a 2.99$ purchase that was made in France on the 8th. It was for a backing track I bought, no porn.

I had AdultCheck about 10 years ago.  There were a whole bunch of similar services with names like "AdultKey" and they all led to the same 1/2-assed sites, many of which had the same content. 

I signed up for a one month free membership to some porn site (the name of which I forget), which indeed was free for a month, but then got a $39.99 charge on my statement for a "boobtropolis."  What the fuck is "boobtropolis."  Never heard of it.  I retraced the sign-up steps for the free one and noticed on the top of the agreement page among the shimmering porn clutter: Check here for my $39.99/month subscription to Boobtropolis.  The webmaster checked it for me.  All I had to do was un-check it.  It was hard to see, easy to overlook.  Gotcha. 

Several times I signed up for the 3-day free trial, raided whatever content I wanted, and resigned before the trial period was up.  You just had to keep careful track of everything you entered and make a record of the 12-digit membership key or whatever.  They're hoping you'll sign up too drunk or too horny or too much of both to be rational!

Then my CC number got lifted and I had to go to my bank and deny a $250.00 charge to some place in Italy, cancel my card, and get a new one.  Since then I'm not so liberal with my card number!
